In terms of use as a compression stocking aid, the device helps to slide the compression stocking over the foot and ankle, helping with the end range of motion. However, further pulling up is required to put the compression stocking on, particularly for high pressure compression stockings. Whilst the device is quite inflexible for socks, the pressure of compression stockings does narrow the device. Once the sock is placed over the gutter, the foot can then slip into the sock. The thick foam grips of the sock and compression stocking aid provide a comfortable hold and the contoured top ensures the sock or compression stocking is pulled up without catching or digging into the skin. STEP 1:
In a seat position, hold sock aid in between the knee. draw the sock or stocking completely on to the sock aid half the length of the cloth trough.
STEP 2:
Flip the sock aid out in front of the foot and noto the floor, place toes trough opening.
STEP 3:
Pull straight back on the strap handles ,begin pulling in an upward angle towards the ceiling so the sock or stocking can be reached.
STEP 4:
Continue pulling on the straps until sock aid pulls out of sock or stocking.
